Yesterday my lovely colleague Holly Sterling and I visited the PG LIVE Fair in London. This was a great opportunity for us as newcomers to the company to get to know the greetings card industry a bit more and see what was happening in terms of new trends, styles and generally get some inspiration and more of an insight into the wonderful world of greetings cards.
Here are a few pictures from the day:

One of my favourite stands was Rosie and Radish. It was great to meet the illustrator-designer duo Helen and Amy, they were so lovely to talk to and their cards are so cute! I especially liked the ones featuring Radish the mouse with sweet little quotes:

I also loved the cards designed by I Drew This with their beautiful colour palette. I'm always drawn to anything related to Native American culture, so it was no surprise when I immediately honed-in on the feather and headdress designs on the cards:

After the fair we just had time for a quick dash around the David McKee exhibition at the Illustration Cupboard gallery before heading home. It was inspiring to see the original artwork and rough sketched layouts of the Elma books which were a childhood favourite of mine:
Lovely original Elma artwork!
We had a great day and these past few creative events I've been to recently have been really good for getting inspiration and insight into different fields of art and illustration. There will be more to come no doubt!
Hi Emily. It was lovely to meet you too :) We had such a good time at our first show and are very chuffed that we got a mention in your blog. Your header illustration is gorgeous! x
